Any Regrets
"My one regret is that my grandmother couldn't be there for the ceremony. She was in a wheelchair and we thought we would be able to carry her upstairs to the top deck of the boat but when it came to the day, she wouldn't let us carry her. So she sat on the bottom deck with my Aunt." Wendy, married 3 years "I wish I had listened to my Father when he told me not to marry Brian!" Jenny, married 10 years, divorced for 3 years. "I wish I had invited more of my friends and less of my parents friends. There are some friends from school who still don't understand why I didn't invite them. But then, my parents paid for everything, in the end it was kind of their wedding, not mine." Angela, married 6 years "The day just went by in a whirl. I wouldn't change a thing but I would love to have the whole thing again!" Carmen, married 18 months "We're still paying off the credit card, so I wish we had spent a bit less money! No, I don't really, it was a fantastic day and you can't put a price on memories." Susan, married 2 years " I wish I had hired a professional wedding videographer so I could relive the day all over whenever I want. The photos are great but you can't enjoy the atmosphere as much as with a video." Kath, married 3 years " I have no real regrets as I reminded myself not to have expectations. I just went with the flow and enjoyed the day, however it turned out. It was so important not to get caught up in the trivial stuff, and remember why we were there" Olivia married 2 years " I regret choosing my attendants too early, because by the time of our wedding I no longer had as much contact with one of my bridesmaids and would really have preferred someone else." Jackie married 1 year |
